We thought we would write a follow up to our recent Bravo 1 whining noise above 3000rpm . Our engine and out drive had 79 hours on It and apparently had never been serviced . The problem was the 90 weight out drive gear lube that had never been changed ! We were fortunate that a couple of different guys on this I boat forum gave us their experience and advise which was exactly correct ! The original gear lube came out very black and we were lucky to not find any evidence of water or metal particles as they had said to watch for . Thanks to the help guys and we hope this is helpful for the next guy should his Bravo 1 whine .
