For mixing I go for Makers Mark, Crown Royal and Jim Beam or Jack Daniels Black label. On the rocks with a little water I like Woodford Reserve, Canadian Club Classic 12, Gentleman Jack or Single Barrel. Knob Creek is fine but has a bite to it. Bookers is another fine choice but pricey. My favorite on the rocks in Canadian Club 12 or Gentleman Jack. Recently tried Jim Beam Black which is good. Smoooooooooove!

How bout a Whiskey Sour?
Any one? :D Great cocktail!

Jack Daniels is quality stuff, but some cheap whiskey will do!

I'm a beer drinker, but like my cocktails too!

I like Blantons Bourbon small round faceted bottle. No age. They bottle it when it's aged to perfection.

Tenoch anejo Tequila (El Corazon Tequila anejo is good and El Tesoro anejo is cheaper and always good)

Oban Scotch 14 year

Tullamore Dew Irish Wiskey

Grey Goose Vodka

Miller's or Hendrick's gin (I can't find Leyden's anymore)

Rum (I skip rum, it gives me a headache)

Samiclaus Beer

All taken straight or with a splash or less of water. The bourbon needs a splash to be able to taste the subtle flavors.

The good thing is a bottle of any of these will last me over a year since I don't drink much. I Just have done a lot of experimenting although writing this reminded me I had a couple shots of Leydens left and it sure hit the spot.

Maker's Mark is good but I usually buy the cheaper stuff since I mix it with Sprite or cheap version of lemon-lime (poor man's Seven & Seven). If I'm using Coke to mix then it has to be Jack Daniels.
