Spent 10 hours waiting, watching.........

Landed a peanut (8lbs) lost 2 monsters (30-50lbs) to poor luck.

A lovely day on the Monterey bay, by sundown the wind chop was 5',,,,that sucks at anchor.

Speaking of anchor, it's still out there, buoyed. too rough to attempt hand retrieval.

Yesterday they got rain all day, 35lb halibut and a good baracuda (12-15lb), they got very wet.
Rain tomorrow, I've got some reason to not go...

Fickle fish, we saw hundreds of pounds at the dock, 25 or so boats, some fish too big to carry easily. (50-80) All the same bait, better than some.

That's why they call it fishing, not catching.

Snow on the local peaks this AM, stayed all day, that don't happen too often.

Sorry for the lack of pix, took the camera with no batteries, Doh.

Better luck next time on the sea bass Jeff. Man they're good, especially from the boat to the grill on the beach! You landed a nice halibut though.

I know it feels like 100 miles gypsy! I'm in rancho and it feels like 280 miles to Mead...wait, it is 280 miles!
