White stains oxidation on alumnum

Bought a used tin boat sea nymph gls19'

Bare alumnum Things like window frames, bow rails, gunnels have white oxidation stains.......what is best way to clean them up?

Posting pics of your boat and the problem areas will get you the best help.

Right off hand without seeing any pics I'd say abrasive removal of the oxidation followed by a polishing compound would be the order of the day.

Try WD-40 it has cleaned up aluminum for me.

I clean my aluminum with a little bit of car wax and some 0000 steel wool. It makes the aluminum smooth and leaves a wax coating too. I use some elbow grease while applying and a clean rag to remove.
