Re: Who am I?

You got that right, Boom.
I think the best thing about California is seeing it in the rearview mirror. The weather was nice, but the people and the politics and the traffic and the economy just make it a great place to be from!

I remember you! You stole my truck, ate my kids, and spray-painted my wife.............or am I getting mixed-up? :D

So if you were 2 different people, does that mean the 100,000th member is actually the 99,999th? Now they're going to have to redo all the prizes...

Guess you didn't see all of California, but that's OK. The main thing is to see the beauty of where you are and not run from or chase others perceptions.

Of course Redding and Lake Shasta are exempt from my anti-California diatribe. Besides, Redding is HOT and I miss that.:p:D

Re: Who am I?

You are corect of course, JRJ. And I did enjoy my physical surroundings, it was everything else that wore me down. I visited Redding a few times, by the way. It's nice up there. I think Redding is a bit more conservative than where I was at. Perhaps I would have stuck it out longer had I moved there instead. I definitely wasn't chasing perceptions though, I was born and raised in the bay area so I am familiar with Ca. A big % of the reason I moved to Ca had to do with being close to my parents. (as well as my old fishing ground)And we did have fun, boating, fishing, hiking, shooting(at a range) as well as swimming in the river.
I justify it this way. :) I took 1 conservative vote (myself) and 3 potential conservative votes (my kids) away from a state they would have been wasted on, and brought them to a state that desperately needs them!
Didn't mean to offend anyone, but Ca is not for me. Vegas isn't all that great either, but it's definitely an improvement!

Thanks for all the welcome backs everyone, I plan on getting a $32 inflatable boat at walmart so I can be a boater again and justify posting here!

No offence taken Kalian. I like Nevada too, even got married there 40 years ago. What I like is how soon you can get up into Utah and some great ATV riding if your into them.

Boomyal, cold here at 59 degrees this morning. Enjoyed a double burger w/cheese at the In & Out the other day. Great scenery this time of year lol.
