Actually I almost did .. but it was too much of a pain to scan pics ( old school non digitized 35mm pics ).

I might do that this weekend though .

Back to the OP .. I had a 76 30' Catalina tall rig that was build like a tank. 6' fin keel and 1" thick solid hand layed up glass at the water line. ( we call them Reef Crushers ). I sailed her from St. Thomas around Rico to St. Maartin .. then down to Grenada when I was 20. .. Freaking beefy boat that I would go anywhere with.

Miss that boat ..

My vote goes to MFG's that went from wood to fiberglass . Don't know how many survived that long ?

Carver seems to be a quality built boat in the cruiser series anyway. I like Rinkers but have only had experience on a 270 festa vee built in the late 90s and the early 2000s
