When I pulled all the panels on my boat to clean and redo vinyl I bet I broke out 10lbs of mud from all the mub dauber nests. They were everywhere! After all that I don't get near as many random wasp around my boat at home or on the lake.

I too found a half bottle of pepsi in the starboard side of the stern area (slipped out the back of the gunwhale storage compartment).

I did -not- drink it.


So far I think my favorite find was the brass knuckles mentioned above - that's just old school. But the dildos are definitely up there for WTF factor.

One night I pulled a package of cookies from the bench seat and while chowing down felt a tickling on my arm ANTS! Buddy was laughing his arse off until I reminded him that it was his seat the ants were under.

BTW, ants taste like cookies if anyone was wondering

Replaced the speaker by the helm the other day. Was feeling in the area behind the speaker and felt something, pulled on it and it was a full set of keys on a float fob for the boat and trailer.

Would have never found them otherwise.

I found some thong underwear and three dildos, one was HUGE, under the jump seat in mine. Funny thing is the previous owner was older and his wife didn't look like the type to wear thongs, let alone use that dildo!

Maybe they were from their daughter? Or worse, their son?!?

My bowrider has storage space under both bow seats like many do. But little did I know there is a crevace at the bow, where there is room if you reach your hand waaay in there from the bow seat storage space. I found a circa 1986 sprite can, an old pack of Merits and a plain-jane orange life jacket. When I cleaned out the bilge, I found several Bud light cans, all of the older style.

When I went to inspect my boat, I inquired about a cover. The owner swear up and down it did not have a cover. I even pointed out that the manufacturer does equipped said model with a cover. When inspecting the boat, I looked and found some cover material and asked if it was, perhaps, the missing cover. The owner explained that it was the cover for the bimini top. After we bought the boat and went down the road, I pulled over a few miles down the road. I looked again....and it was the cover. It was dusty and obviously have never been taken out since he had bought it a year ago. Snapped it on and went down the road.

My brother's 1961 Cruiser's Inc runabout had been in storage for the last 11 years as he had been working out of the country. Rolled it out last week ,when he was in, to clean it up.
Found 8 snake skins under the false floor.

I was in my (New to mw) boat this evening cleaning all the vinyl when I saw a small piece of teal cloth sticking bewtween the cushions on my back seat. I pulled on it and "POP" the top of the rear seats behind the doghouse opened and there it was, a brand new bimini top still rapped up and covered in dust since 1993. My boat already has a bimini but I believe it is after market and this is the one that snaps to the winshield for a nice snug fit. I am sooo happy right now I had to share.

That's pretty good but pales by comparison to what I found the other day when I bought my "new" boat (new to me) home. Opened up the OB motor cowl & found *drum roll please* a mother field mouse & her two young' uns (quite alive) & a whole lot of mouse nest. So I had the wife come out & take care of it.........(just kidding about the wife)

ehh rusty wd 40 can, couple empty oil cans, bunch of wasps, couple pounds of rust, original stereo, nothing great, o and the socket to fit the flywheel nut, still on the napa plastic holder thing

We had our purchased new Boston Whaler three years, I was pounding through some chop and I saw something roll past my feet. When I got in I looked back and found a KOC ring, gold, with diamond and engraved name. To this day it is a mystery. A friend of a friend is a detective, he found the owner and the ring was returned, it was his fathers and was given to him by his father, lost fishing in New York. Boston Whalers are built in Edgewater Florida, the boat was purchased in Oklahoma, the ring appeared in Missouri. I have never been to New York with our boat or even close.

I found the bottom half of a seat cushion that did not belong to my boat and a polaroid picture of what I assume was the wife and daughter of the P.O. in skimpy bikinis.

All I found was a bunch of ants, a huge mouse nest complete with family, and a penny. Things that were included that I knew about were a (non-working---surprise!) speedometer, a very old depth finder, a bimini top that was moldy and no good, a beat up swim ladder and a pair of antique skis. I did score a big bottle of lower unit lube though.

I found that I could put countless hours of work making it run perfectly and look spectacular yet still can't put it in the water to enjoy if I don't have the registration numbers and state sticker on the bow!
