I have a 2001 johnson 90 that I want to replace the fuel pump on. A few weeks ago I unhooked the oil side due to a serious over oiling issue. The fuel pump is beggining to show signs of being weak. I searched online and saw that I could replce the vro with a standard 3 barb pump. After ordering the pump and removing the vro I found that the vro has a oringed nipple that presses into the manifold. What are you using for a barbed fitting to run the fuel line to? Sorry if this has been covered before. I have searched online over and over trying to find the answer.

Thanks for the link but I dont think that will work for mine. From looking at the parts diagram for your model it appears that your vro had a hose going to the top fitting where mine has an o ringed elbow that presses directly into the manifold or whatever it is.
