In this area the old saying is definately true -- "you get what you pay for".

To make a recommendation about which brand we need to know a bit about your rig, the intended use and what you have now.

Theres no sence in suggesting a Stiletto if you are running a Hydrostream with a hydraulic jackplate and strictly looking for top speed. Just like theres no sence in suggesting a Mazco if you are running a tri hull boat.

Tell us a bit more about what you have and how you use it. We'll go from there.

Good luck!

Agree with Mr. Hadley.......need more info, but I can tell you at the very least, stick with OEM, for the purpose of repair. With the exception of props like MAZCO, POWERTECH, HYDROMOTIVE, alot of prop-shops won't work on Turbos, Stillettos, Ballistics-common after-market varietys, because of the overhead in pitch blocks.
OEM usually isn't a problem anywhere....... :)

Re: who makes a good stainless prop??

Sorry guys, here is some info. I am running a Triton 1860 all welded aluminum. I will be running it mostly in truman resevior in mo. It is notoriouse for beeing very stumpy. I will be duckhunting from this boat as well as trolling some and fishing a lot. Some others are advising me against the stainless prop since I duck hunt, they say that I should use aluminum. They say that duckhunting, you hit too many stumps, and that the stainless will tear out the lower unit. What do you all think. The dealer is telling me I can substitute the aluminum prop for a "solas" stainless prop for 150.00 more???? Thanks for the help guys. Bill
