Re: Who said you can't go boating when it's cold.......
Stripper fishing around here is an open season. But what we call strippers and what you call strippers may not be the same type fish... I love to fish but not necessarily in those conditions...but I could be persuaded differently! If the fish are biting, that changes everything!
I hope you meant stripers. It's hard to get a stripper out in the bay when it's cold, but stripers are not so hard.
I'm further down the bay from dingbat and that photo. our most popular striper fishing is November/December and primarily at night around the bridges crossing the bay, so it's cold. But you fish for schoolies (18" and up) as well as big ones (45" is a good but not unusual size) so it's worth it--hence my asking my deluded fresh water fishing friends to send me their prize catches for me to use for bait!
now (after Jan 1) you can only striper fish in the ocean, from the beach out 3 miles. The fish hang out about 4 miles out....
