I tow my 19.6" Sea Ray Seville with 89 Aerostar 3.0 no problems at all ..Brought it from Georgia to Florida 600 miles distance ..Sure could use more power and better brakes but now i only have about 3 miles to the ramp .. Make sure the boat and the trailer does not outweights the truck

Dom

I've used my E-250 econoline with the straight 6 to tow my cabin cruiser w/bridge, 27', weight about 7500#! Trailer weighs in at 1250# tri-axle w/surge brakes.

I don't prefer to use it to tow my boat, but due to circumstances it was sometimes the only tow vehicle available. I was surprised to find that it actually had better power on the hills than my 94 non-turbo 7.3 diesel!

DJ is correct about trailers and brakes. Usually anything over 2,000# requires brakes. Period!

IF you don't, you will wish you did when some jerk pulls out in front of you. Been there crashed that! Not any fun......
