Way to go and in a Ford. Great boost for the economy to see one of the big 3 finish first! ;)

This race used to sell out a year in advance. Tickets for the infield still available Sunday morning. Race didn't do much for me this year. Still figuring out who is driving what for whom!!!!

I gotta laugh......... Remember when Vickers took out the 48 that way, and won???? The thing I have to laugh about is Jr., he missed his pit box twice and you expect him to miss another car that is only inches away at 190 mph?

Oh, and in case you are wondering, I'm a Jeff Gordon fan, since he started.

Well Jr. ultimately caused the the chain of events than ended up with the #31 in the wall . . . Burton was up to 5th I think when the lapped 88 muscled him out

over aggressive destruction of millions of bux worth of fine machinery
I'm not so sure the drivers or I would call those choked down Pieces O' S "fine machinery" . . . I still think they should flatten Daytona's and Talladega's corners or take away all of the downforce. I watch, and it is exciting at times, but Plate racing reminds me of stupid Basketball. Put five minutes (5 laps) on the clock and then that's that. Everything else is just a warm up.

It is a race, for crying out loud, not the second coming.
It's a Business for crying out loud . . . a big, mega business that creates jobs and must grow to survive . . . I guess that's why they keep the stupid restrictor plates.

Well, no surprise there.

I say, let them race them just as they come out of the factory doors, except interior removal and the addition of safety gear (roll bars, etc).

When was the last time a production car had a carburetor? 1988????:rolleyes:

So what if the speeds might be 150, or less. At least it would be a race.
