Hi,

Somewhere; perhaps via a link from here...I remember seeing somebody's web site where he had pictures of engines...year by year....Identified by the look of their cowling.
I think they were Johnnyrudes....but I bet somebody has a Mercury version out there...and who know what other brands.

I used to know the Johnsons by their looks from year to year...but it's gotten away from me...

Now I'm most interested in Mercury's....not necessarily the real old ones...although that would be fun as well. But, how about the black ones from the 60's on...Silver Bands, Red Bands, Blue Bands, Gold Bands...No Bands at all....

C'mon...one of you has done all that work...lets see it!

Thanks, Chuck

Interesting!

The "Old OMC site" is
http://mitglied.lycos.de/old_omc/

Fascinating collection of scanned boat and motor brochures with lots of pictures! Thanks myoutboards!

AMD; I think it was site that I remember seeing before with all the Merc Pics. He doesn't have a 1977...I ought to send him a pic of mine; although my cowl decals are faded a bit... Thanks for sending me there again.

And Paul...I've been to the Old Mercs site before as well...I like their site...a lot of information thaat is very well organized...and certainly a lot of pics...mostly on the real old stuff. Someone has certainly spent a lot of time and effort putting all that together.

Thanks all for reading and responding...lets see what else pops up...Chuck
