Re: why did you name your dog what you named him/her?
We've had several dogs over the years.
Golden Retriever - Dexter
Yellow Lab - Shasta
Hound mix - Wrinkles
We now have a strange pair living in the house. Our bloodhound is called JW (for Junior Wrinkles), but whe should have called him Duhhh, and a beagle that we call Cheyenne. JW, or Dubs for short, is just about the most mild tempered animal I've ever seen. Wouldn't hurt a fly. The beagle on the other hand is a completely different story. That damn dog runs roughshod over the poor bloody! I'm positive the beagle is a cat hiding in a dog's body. She does what she wants, when she wants and to hell with anybody else.
The bloodhound is a sweety, but never, repeat, NEVER let him lay his head on your lap...well..unless you actually LIKE having dog goo all over you. We're constantly cleaning dog slob off the walls, counters, furniture and yes, even the ceiling..*sigh*. Nothing quite like turning on the beautiful 62 inch flatscreen television only to see dog slime all over it ..*sigh*. Still...even with all that, he's been a great dog. I'll miss him when he's gone....maybe! ...lol
