I have often wondered about as the earth rotates and revolves around the sun, and the moon rotates and revolves around the earth, why is it that we can only see one side of the moon?

And would we see the same side of the earth if we were on the moon?

Are you joking???
The moon rotates around its own axis once during its monthly cycle(1 orbit around earth). That is why we can only see one side. When on the moon you will see earth from many angles and all sides.
Are you really ,really bored???

Oh, okay. That makes sense. :)

BTW, The soap bubbles rotate for the same reason that water draining rotates.

Call me weird it don't bother me none, but i somehow find it to be facinating that the moon can rotate on its axis as it revolves around the earth and never shows us its backside. :D

Re: Why do soap bubbles rotate?

Don't you all realise that the moon dosn't exist, it's just a projected image put there by NASA as part of the ruse that man landed there, and we all know that hasn't happend.

Its all very simple really, they create the illusion of the moon and earth rotating by simply changing the direction of the projector. The lunar cycle (full moon to creasent moon) is achieved by placing a beer mat over the projector lens, and a new moon is quite simply maintenance down time, changing bulbs and cleaning the lens etc.

The reason we only ever see one side of the so called moon is because of budget restrictions, they only have one image.

I hope this has cleared everything up for you.

:D ;) :p ;) :D
