why does the water take so long to drain from my sink

Hi all, I have a 2000 Sea Ray Sundeck, 210, with the small sink in the center console area, passenger side. When the sink fills up with water, it take a really long time for it to drain. It drains out the side of the boat, and a half sink full of water takes more than 30 minutes. Can I use a little draino, or is that not safe for the boat (it would be dry docked, so I can catch the discharge). I tried to snake it, but I hit the bend pretty quickly. is this normal to take so long?

Thanks..

shouldn't be a trap or any thing like that. its a plastic tubing and you should be able to run a wire from the thru-hull and open it up. ours does the same thing. its only 1/2" or so ID and plugs pretty easy.

ours unplugs easier from the out side. we fill the sink then jack goes out side and works the wire in and out the thru hull and pretty quick it opens and the water in the sink helps flush what ever was in there out
