I'm pretty lucky with motors and out drives. My neighbor is the Volvo and mercrusier go to guy around here. He owns a boat dealership and is the Johnson Evinrude, volvo dealer. He has a weakness, he loves to duck hunt and I train retrievers as a side business. I train his dog and he fixes any break downs I have ASAP.

Well I can swap out an I/O engine in a few hours. And rebuilt costs 1/2 or less than an OB.

One place for outboards is on smaller, lighter boats. Can you imagine dragging any boat with an I/O up a shallow river to your favorite remote lake? On a larger, heavier boat for use on lakes, I prefer an I/O. Great reliability and fuel mileage are two reasons for preferring the I/O.

BTW, how can anyone support Apple, given their negative and misleading advertising campaigns? Who do you think pays that nerd who pretends to be a PC? Suckers!! Check out Windows 7 - it's great!!!
