Asking a question at times on this forum can be intimidating. First thanks to all who responds to asked questions. However it can at times be very intimidating especially some of the response one receives.
Read... Read.... Read is one that is often used. While this is good and the best way to get the answers, we should understand that even though one reads he/she may need a little afirmation and this helps a very long way. People ask questions to get information and most times for quick answers.
Reading also is tedious especially when you have to search and you cannot always come up with the correct word or phrase for the search engine to come up with the answers. The person who ask the question may want an immediate answer. In some cases, as in mine for instance, I have read, read, and read, and even with the reading the volume of information is so vast that I cannot always remember where the information is and would rather ask a quick question to get a quick answer.
How can we avoid this intimidation?
One quick way I have learned is that if I do not know the immediate answer, I would not respond. There is someone here who may have the answer or where specifically it can be located. I may myself try to do some search then respond with the information or give a location where the information is.
The purpose of this forum is to help and everyone does a great job.
But at times it really helps the person who ask the question, if they can get an answer rather than the intimidating words...read....read....read.
Now I'll go back to my reading. Everyone here helps and I appreciate the help I receive
