Why this site is SO AWESOME!!!

So everyone here knows I missed a chance at the worlds cheapest 21' Mariner a few weeks ago. Just way too far to drive for it.

So Jeremy took it upon himself to think of me when he came across a 21' Mariner for pretty danged cheap just over 4 hours drive from my house. Sent me a pm and I've cut a deal with the owner. He's gonna hold it for me till tuesday and I'm going to drag it home.

Now this doesn't come without cost. I had to cut a deal with the admiral to clear out all other marine craft currently killing grass on our property if I want to buy this one. BTW, she's still shakin her head in dis-belief but she knows I have a sickness and I sold two huge projects this week so she's gonna overlook it Don't worry, the Liquid Limo is not included in the deal, but the pocket rocket and ole blue are destined for removal.

So I'd like to thank Jeremy publically for hooking me up. BTW, he's already slipped into the conversation that he'd like to come down this summer and go striper fishing with me in my honey hole on the bay

NB that is going to be one nice fishing rig Congrats on the find.

I put a deposit on a 16' SS today as well so that makes two great new starcrafts in one day not too bad

This little sector is awesome...I looked under some of the other different Manufacturers the other day - and no real posts....even CBH and Fiberglassics doesn't have as much as action as the Starcraft and Resto threads in Iboats.....want to drive yourself nuts use craiglook and see every SC for sale in the US!

The 18' Holiday Restorvation is coming along - not sure if people need to see me breathing stripping fumes from under the bow!! But will get some pics out today!!

Hey NB, I know how the " GET ONE DONE START ON ANOTHER" thing addicts you and consumes you...I've got it as well I found another 18 footer that is already stripped down for refurb here in g'boro...we were dickerin over the price..$250....and decided to hold off...I'm really lookin for a 21 or better islander ..any one see one close to me holler my direction!

JimbC, 2 things wrong with the Greer SC one....Merc and $ ...evilbay has one cherry 21' islander at $650 now....too damn far to go get and not punishing anyone with a merc here ..i figure owning one is punishment enough

I checked CL the other night and saw some of the same ones y'all have seen. What's the matter with us??? Mine's in the barn waiting for me to come out to work and I'm on CL looking at other boats Seems we do need a vaccine.

Hey Capt. I hear ya!, the reason I finished my starcraft was to free up space in the shop.....needed to start a couple of MG projects ...the boat told me she stays in the shop till I can come up with an adequate but equal mooring.......did I just say my boat talks to me? don't yours?

Old Blue and the G3 are nowhere near as sweet as that CC is...
So what do you plan on hanging off the back of this beast? What's she rated for? I bet a 150 would scoot her right along!...

And as far as Jeremy goes..ya, he and a few other guys here are always hunting for a boat for somebody else! I personally feel a deep brotherhood with all of you nutcases! lol

Here ya go Kev! I found this boat motor and trailer for 750 obo one hour from my house. 76 Merc 115hp in line 6 guys swears it runs fine. I pick up the boat on tuesday and I'm off to check compression on the Merc wednesday!!!!!!!!

The CC is rated to 140 hp

BTW, the boat is a fiberglass Starcraft!

Congrats North Beach.

I whole heartedly agree, this is a great place and there is a lot of camaraderie.
Kevin checked on a boat for me just south of him, and was willing to put it up for me until I could get down to pick it up. You just can?t find that type of help anywhere.

BTW I haven't been around that much as of lately, I have had the swine flu. It has made it's way threw my wife and two of the grand kids so far. Also we had a new addition to the family on the 21 st. Our youngest Daughter had a little girl.

Kev, they've been trying to sell that glass starcraft for a month. I ran into it a couple weeks ago when I was doin my search thing. I'll land fill it if I buy the package for the motor.

Ole blue is gonna get recycled and the batboat is gonna go somewhere soon. Guess I'll try and sell it for a hundred or two.
