Mine is just a 2 cylinder 2 stroke 40 hp Johnson. I really didn't even consider the size of the motor but that explains a lot.

Quick update.
First lake trial today with the "squeaky clean" cooling system. Back to like brand new. Tell tale stream stronger than ever and a lot of overflow gushing out of the overflow vents. Now we are ready for the family vacation to the cottage in a few weeks
All is well !!!!
