I'm searching for a coupler lock that is open wider than 1 inch, most seem to be smaller in the 3/4 range...attached is a pic of the coupler lock next to a tape measure, let me know if you have any ideas and thanks

The first pic appears to be the same lock as my Fulton "gorilla guard" lock and mine has two locked positions.. as pictured and wider open the wider position is just over an inch.. I thinks it's safe to assume it does too... I've had a few different locks like this and all had two opening sizes.

OK. Now I see. Personally I use a regular lock at the hitch and a huge cable lock around the wheels and trailer frame. I am on the "more deterrents the better" theory. However if someone wants it bad enough they will take it no matter what. I also remove a wheel if being left for a considerable time as well.

both that Master lock and the Adjustable Brass Coupler Lock - made by Fulton are no go's they do not latch for an opening larger than 1 inch, they may open that far, but there is not way to lock it I have tried both and both FAIL

and the last one says 1/2 inch opening

why I need to lock it is about the dumbest comment in the world, so a thief just cant lift up the handle and swivel the boat sideways, hook it to his truck and take off with it...I still need to lock it to my truck in some places :censored:

I have the same issue, so I use a long shank padlock.

you could also use one of the locks that go up in where the ball goes and wraps over the top of the latch. They are about 25 bucks at any marine store or even walmart.
