My wife has put up with me for over 40 years. On the MAIDEN voyage of my recent "Too Long" rebuild she slipped and fell in the boat and hurt her back! I wanted to go immediately to the trailer, she said "NO!!!! We have to make sure that 50 yr old motor is gunna run right!" I AM a Lucky Man!!!! All the iBoat friends I have sent condolences to her and she KNOWS it. She appreciates them all and thinks they are a great bunch of guys. Having said all of that...She still thinks I spend way to much time on the Forum!!!!!

Much like some of you guys, my wife is interested on what goes on here. Always asks what new, likes to read a few threads that I am interested in. She has no interest in computers so I got rid of the desk top computer and bought a laptop. I just plunk it on the coffee table in the eveings and we can enjoy each others company. Me on iboats and her watching tv.

after 20 years, i have learned one or two things,

1) have a mantown, i have two:facepalm:

2) tell her, you would not believe how much i save having the guys ( and gals) give me ideas and do it myself............

3) say i am sorry, give it time first...........

4) if all else fails, go fishing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After most of my life with the admiral 31 yrs and I'm only 46 she is the only woman I will ever love besides my my baby girl and yea she thinks it's stupid and I just say not as stupid as facebook and facebook hasn't saved us thousands of $ and besides I'm only on for an hr or 2 everyday .But she still hates it when I'm right. Hail to the brotherhood!

My wife thinks that I spend way too much time here, but realizes what a great help it's been to us in the last year.

Tonight she went to bed early and mad because she was talking to me whilst I was reading and I told her that we've been married almost 31 years and she should know when I'm busy....She is in the spare bedroom and the door is closed.

Any others had that problem with a forum?

Man, I have to say, its not a problem with the forum, its a problem with you. No offense of coarse, but if the wife isn't happy, your not going to be happy.

Spend some time with the wife, I promise we won't miss you as much as she does,lol

It was a one night thing....happens about every 5 years. she got up at 5 and made may lunch and all is back to normal. I've only had to use the camper for my residence a few times when I was mad at her.

BTW- Maybe it's because when she was trying to talk to me while I was reading an argument going on in this forum last night. It must have have temporarily rubbed off on me.

Mrs B couldn't give two whits about iboats beyond the fact that she knows all the good advice that we have gotten, over the years, that has saved us countless $$$$'s by enabling me to remedy countless of issues around the house. Now that is the mark of a savvy women!
