I found a good deal on plug wires for a 350 Mag of the same year as my EFI 5.7l motor. Will they work?

Boat wires need to go around the manifolds and stuff, so automotive wires may be too short.

I understand that difference. I am not looking at auto wires. The wires I am referring to are for the 350 mag MPI. I was wondering if they would work on a 5.7l EFI. It was a super deal. They are the same block but some different externals.

The 1996 5.7 and Mag 350 EFI's GM V8 305 / 350 CID engines with Delco HEI ignition are the same part number. New # 84-816608Q70 SPARK PLUG WIRE KIT Old # 84-816608A70.

While the GM V-8 305/350 cid engines w/ Thunderbolt IV and V ignition use another part number.
Item number 17, 84-816761Q17 SPARK PLUG WIRE KIT 84-816761A17
Item number 18, 85-63709A1 --BOOT/TERMINAL KIT $4.70 $4.59

If the other engine has T.B 4 or 5, then there not going to work due to a design difference between the Distributor cap posts/terminals.

Just saw your latest post. I believe there's going to be a length issue with the mag MPI. They are a different part number. http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show...r=4&bdesc=DISTRIBUTOR+AND+IGNITION+COMPONENTS

Ok. Thanks Fun Times. Trying to save a buck never works in marine parts but it was worth a try.
