will 63 evinrude interchange with 58 gale

does anyone know if a 1963 evinrude 10 hp will mount on a 1958 gale buccaneer exhuast housing and lower unit or if a 1968 18hp evinrude will mount?

so do i have to change the exhaust housing i've seen the lowerunits exchange

Well FR i thank you for the help but you were wrong on this one so now i can rebuild a 10hp evinrude for $200 instead of $500 rebuilding the gale

Can I hang around and watch you put the Gale cowlings on that 10hp powerhead? Or maybe I don't understand exactly what you are attempting to build.

i'll try to figure out how to post pictures when i'm done with it i have to take the cowling mounts off the gale motor and put them on the evinrude but all the holes are in the right place for it the motors are identical i was trying to figure out a way to get back on the water with what i have to work with and parts are easier to find on the evinrude
