Will 85 90hp lower unit fit on a 70's 135hp?

as the title says. is it possible to put the lower unit of a 90hp onto a 135hp when the 90 is from 1985 and the 135 is from the 70's.

No.

The unit will have to come from a 135 from 1973 through 1976, or from a 85 or 115 from 1973 through 1977.

What year did they go from hydroelectric shift to mechanical? 73? If you are not sure its a 1973 or newer, you need to verify the year.
