It's actually a 73 65hp, but I was under the impression most major parts were the same on the 3cyl OMC's.
The XP100 is an 88'

Won't fit. The factory power trim unit for the 73 is a very different configuration than that of the 1988 model. You can look visually check out the differences by looking at the factory exploded parts diagrams on the web: epc.brp.com. You will have to look at the ACCESSORIES section to see the 1973 trim unit. The 73 unit worked well, but was discontinued years ago. They are getting hard to find parts for now. You are better off looking for a scrap 1973 engine that has a good working trim unit.

I want to change the entire unit engine clamp/swivel assembly not just the tilt/trim unit.

No, you'll need the swivel bracket from a 50hp - 70hp 3 cylinder model.
