Will dropping the motor a Hole help plane out time?

Just a simple question. i know dropping a hole will kill a few miles per hour. but will it help me plane quicker.. the motor is already mounted high and the whale tale is out of the water at WOT

Hole-shot is usually best if you can keep it high, and the fin (Tail) should be out of the water at WOT.

If you have a hydro foil and still having a problem with hole shot, you may need a prop change. Give us some #s to work with.
