Will I be happy with new Suzuki?

Well, I ordered a new boat. I've had a couple of old, used boats and spent as much time and money keeping them going as a new boat would have cost. I ordered an Alumacraft MV 2070, with a Suzuki DF 115.

I tried to listen to both sides of the two stroke/four stroke question, and on the strength of a friends recommendation ended up going with the DF 115.

Any suggestions on maintenance, things to watch for, questions to ask dealer when I pick it up? Those of you that have, or have had, Suzukis, was it a good choice?

Great choice .... if you keep your motor happy by proper maintenance, it will keep you happy ... enjoy it ....

Be sure to study your Owner's Manual so that you understand what she tells you.

I recommend that you also get a Service Manual.

I dearly loved my DF70. Best outboard I ever owned, and that covers a LOT of outboards.

Never heard bad things. Friend had a 100+ hp 4 cyl 2 cy (don't remember the exact hp, maybe 130) and he loved it.

Actually, Suzuki builds there engines so they will be the worst engines in the world, bad materials, poor workmanship and cheap paint too. You will be lucky to get 6 months out of it.

As you can see, I`m feeling a bit frisky this morning.

No manufacture builds a bad product on purpose, and I have a freind that put one on his bass boat, (It was a larger engine though), a couple years ago, and it hasn`t been back to the dealer except for routine maintenance. He loves it.

Dude, sometimes I have a hard time figuring you out. Do you engage in typical fisherman spirits of enjoyment?

If so, it explains a lot.
