Ayuh,... The motor will create the same hp,...
But, the lower will be less efficent with that hp...

Then, I'll lose a percentage of output at the lower unit........any idea how much? Thanks ~namvet

Generally Jets are 30% less efficient than Props. But the trade off is shaollower running

What are you planning on converting? What outboard? Usually people convert to jet due to conditions where the boat is to be used.

It is really hard to tell what percentage of output that you will see or perceive as a loss.

It absolutely takes more jet HP to equal a prop for top end performance but......... you can beat a prop across a low water area.
