Will a 5.0 v8 ford from a 84 bayliner work on a 1989 5.o v8 bayliner? Everythign looks the same except the outdrives are different. I have a cobra and my buddy has a 800 omc. he wants to give me the motor as a spare.
Can I use that motor on my boat?

Bayliner doesn't make a V8, but if that bayliner has a 5.0 Ford in it, then yes, the engine BLOCK will fit, but all the accessories will have to be changed.

yeah I meant a ford v8 5 liter to a ford v8 5 liter. The accessories look the same as far as the exhaust and intake manifolds. I mainly want the block and exhaust manifolds.
Why wont the manifolds work? they look the same
