Will Not Plane

I seem to have a similar problem as RedFin22. You all have helped alot in the past few weeks. I have ID'ed the motor as a 77 Evinrude 35 HP. I bought a Repair Manual. The starting problem was juke in the Reed Valve. Now to the problem at hand. The motor runs and idles fine, at W.O.T the boat starts to plane and the seems like it is slipping. The RPM's go up but the boat slows down. I back off the throttle and every thing is fine. This has a 10X1/2x11 prop with a built in Hub and according to the manual can't be repaired. It states the prop must be replaced. Are there any other ideas about this? Am I looking the right direction?

Sorry about that guys. A little more information for you. It is a 70 SwissCraft 14 foot. That should have been junk in the Reed Valve.

Yup. You have a slipping hub. I'm not sure if it can be repaired, but that's the problem. Once you replace the prop, you'll be back in business.

A prop repair shop can repair your prop, may be cheeper than a new one.
