hello all, wierd problem. my yamaha f100 ran great but then while on the water we tried to start it and it would just turn over but would never fire. after messing with it for a while i pushed the key in and it fired and ran as long as i kept the ket pushed in. when you let the ket out it shuts off. i have cleaned the carbs very well in an ultrasonic cleaner and place new fuel in the carbs. my engine is a carbed model with the electric prime and not choke. they have said that the key does not do anything but it must because it has to be held in to run. could it be the ignition that is bad? or what am i not doing right? any help is appreciated.
