Sounds like it's time to go through the carbs again. The fuel now days isn't as good as it used to be. You also might want to put an inline fuel filter on to keep crud from your tank from getting in your carbs.

I put mine about a foot after the tank and moved my primer bulb between it and the engine. Takes a little more time to get the bulb hard but my thinking was that I didn't want to suck stuff from my tank into my bulb and have an oring get stuck. Make sure that you use good automotive clamps or you risk making another place to get an air leak.

If you do a lot of trolling gap your plugs 10 thousanths over. Seems to not foul as quick. If I remember right those electric shifts use a special lower unit lube. I am guessing that you used the right one. Can you run this engine in the dark and look for sparking under the flywheel or around plug wires? Shouldn't be fouling that many plugs If you do a lot of trolling you may have to stop and run it WFO once in a while to clean them up.

Also, what plugs are you using in that engine? If you're doing a lot of trolling, you might need a hotter plug.
