I'm building a backyard shed and will use T-111 sheets for the siding.
Will Old Timers Formula work? If yes, how long can I expect it to last? I'm just looking for alternatives to paint.
This will be in southern New Jersey.
Thanks, Kal

It will work for a few years. But I would seriously look at paint

Spar varnish is UV resistant, its one thing on a transom that sees sunlight ever so often vs a shed. I would suggest a UV stable exterior stain if you don't want paint. Remember to recoat every few years

T-111 in my experience will suck up oil-based stain real well and last a decade or more. I would use some good oil based stain, like Cabot or Thompsons, if you can get it here in NJ. The modified oil base stuff from Cabot is nearly as good as the full oil, and real easy to clean up.

I built a shed about 20 years ago using t111 and put olympic stain on it, 2 coats initially and another about 8 years later. It still looks pretty good except for the bottom edges of the side that is close to the ground, its rotting a bit in places. I was trying to keep it low so I could get my bike in and out.
