1995 Evinrude 60hp triple
Model no BE60TLEOC

Hi folks
i know the fuel pump is realy bad on my engine and it has to be completely replaced, parts repair kit is not
good enough for this old pump.

No way am i going to pay the prices wanted for repair kit just to use fuel side of the vro pump.
i dont use vro and do only use premix so old style small pump is what i need to buy.

I did have an old style working for a short while but this is just falling to bits and crumbling internally
i have no idea of its history.

now ive seen a brand new old stock pump priced nice and cheap.(compared to new BRP prices)
will this be good enough for a 60 to 70hp engine, the part number is OMC 433388.

is there any draw back to using this pump ? are the pipes big enough on this pump ?

I dont want a pump that wont do what it realy needs etc.

if this aint good enough then can someone tell what pump i need ?

cheers

The pump you listed is made to mount directly to the block and only has two fuel line ports and gets the pulse to power the pump through a port on the block.
When you convert a VRO pump you need a fuel pump that has two fuel line ports and a port for the pulse line to make the pump work. You will have to make a mounting bracket to mount the pump to the engine.
Any pump with three ports should work for you, like the one below.

well that is strange im not saying your wrong by any means.

But i have found a few on the net all showing 3 tubes,
1 for pulse 1 for inlet and 1 for outlet.

here below is a pic of the pump in question.
i will ring the bloke up tommorow and make sure if its got 3 tubes, if not then its no good to me.
in the uk a new pump is ?85 at dealership, thats about $150 in usa money.
i can get this one for ?42.50 thats around $60 us shipped to me, so a big saving if it works.

My mistake, I looked up the pump and seen the mounting gasket and didn't study the pump breakdown. Should have looked at it closer.
That pump should work for you. That pump is listed for up to 50hp, but it should pump enough fuel for your 60hp.

Well the new (old style ) fuel pump is now on its way to me.
i will be so glad to get it on and sort these carbs out.

will have to get all settings done on the carbs just to see how quick i can get this boat to move .
and probably do it just in time for the summer to end i suppose ha ha

ill invest in a dry suit and fleece if i have to, im gonna enjoy this engine if it kills me.
