That motor in good condition will idle and troll all day long.-----So something is wrong and it is up to you to trouble shoot.-----Are you the new owner of this motor ?-----Post compression test values.----And check to see if both leads have spark that will jump a gap of 5/16" or more.----Sounds like it is running on 1 cylinder.
