New to the mechanical end of boating, really trying to learn things. Purchased a used boat recently and prop got damaged on the drive home (had to bring through unfamilar area since didn't have a trailer) We still have a prop from our old boat (454 mercruiser). Our new boat has a 350 OMC Cobra. Someone told me that since the outdrives are different they will not fit (just based on that information alone). However from reading up it sounds like that isn't necessarily true, right? I know the pitch is the same but it would come down to the splines and the diameter, correct?
