We're bashing it because it was an ill informed statement. Read the whole thing, not just part of it. Let me quote-

I'm glad that your four stroke leaps out of the water. A large enough engine will always do the job. But the fact of the matter is that a 4 stroke develops power every other rotation of the crank, while a 2 stroke develops power every rotation of the crank. Additionally, 2 strokes tend to create more torque at a lower engine speed.
Many reputable sources have compared 4 & 2 stroke engines of the same horsepower and reported that the 2 stoke had more hole shot.
