will this jackplate hold a 40hp?

I need to know if this jack plate will hold my Yamaha 2002 2 stroke short shaft outboard on my 13foot speed boat. I am worried that when i mount the motor and go full throttle the jackplate will snap. The jack plate measures 15" wide and 12" long and 5mm thick.I was think when i mount the motor i should put a aluminum 2' thick plate on the jack plate. Let me know if it will hold. Thanks!!

add a 3/4 piece of plywood to the plate itself, and it will be fine.

would you recommend plywood or a sheet of aluminum?

With that thing assembled and mounted with 1/4-20 hardware I wouldn't trust it with a 20HP
