Rumor has it we got around 12-15". I can verify 12". Heavy to push around. Residents are done and some cabins. Now I'll wait for the phone to ring if cabin people start showing up this weekend....

Yeah, even in the upper reaches of Wisconsin the snow eventually goes away. So far, at least.

... well, we've been crabbin' about global warming for several years now. Maybe God just got tired enough of hearing it all and said, "okay ... take THIS!"

We actually got really close to a record late freeze here in TN. Last time it froze this late was back in 1910.

They blamed this winter on GW. The claim was made that the melting Artic ice locked the jet stream in place causing the nasty winter. Wonder what the claim will be if we have a hotter than snot summer. That's GW too....... No matter what happens, GW is the cause, even if the weather flat lines.... Talk about covering their butt.

I heard a town 30 miles to the south of us broke the total snowfall for a season record. I can believe it. We also haven't seen it this cold since 1875. Yet some locals say, "I remember when I was a kid...........", NOT! I know, when you have GW you get extremes....... Somebody just forgot to tell the people back in 1875........

So when the whole country was in the deep freeze this winter, just remember, GW. :facepalm:

Rant over.......... Time to fire up the plow......

Yeah, I know, I don't want to get into a GW debate because another Mod will have to close this thread. Lol I subscribe to the theory of climate change and that it's a cycle. Just like our grouse cycle...... :lol: That's just my opinion and I'm stickin' to it..........

A friend of mine, who plows and his truck is in the shop, just called me from Texas. He bailed for a few days starting yesterday. The day after our storm. In fact, I had to plow his drive so he could get to his flight. :faint2: Now he's calling me about his customers who are calling and need to be plowed. My list is getting longer........:facepalm:

amazing!!! we had 70+ yesterday. Of course I took the oppurtunity to start getting the summer vehicles going. only 4 dead batteries this year. the only two that started right up were the Harleys. I have never had a battery go south on me over winter in over 40 years, this year was apparently a tough one. funny that two brand new ATV's batts would go out but the 6 year old Harley batts still last.
no trickle chargers obvioulsy on any of them.

Hope the snow ends soon for you WIMUSKY -- oh and not that I wouldn't be a good buddy but, not sure I'd be plowing his customers without cash up front.

The weather is warm enough here but the lakes are 8 feet low, so, there are some positives about having a good snow melt ready to fill the lakes and reservoirs.

My theory on GW is that it has must have been warming since the last ice age or we would still be in it

Took out a bunch of weight out of the truck, again. Plow will be put away next week as long as there's no snow in the forecast.

The customers under contract pay up front, before the first flake fly's or I don't plow. The pay per timers you just have tom trust. Yeah, a couple have stiffed me in the past.

No green here, but we're headed in the right direction....... Although.................temps are supposed to fall all week. Upper 30's at the end of the week and chance of $#0&.............

That storm skirted us last week. My buddy in Big Lake, MN got 18", we only had about an inch and it was melted off by the end of the day.

Only 4 more weeks and "maybe" I'll take the boat out on the Mississippi LOL!!! (which is up)
