Do yourself a favor and do the math before buying, especially if working with a short load line. Winch loads are calculated with an empty spool. If calculated using a full spool, the capacity could be as little as half.
I have a boat of similar weight and my #4.2K electric struggles to the point of almost stalling the last couple of feet. I?m going to a #6K winch when this one gives up.

FWIW: You can always cut the winch cable to the miminum length that would work to keep the lost of torque to a minimum

That link was very informative. Thanks dingbat. Basically I only winch a foot or so, probably no more than 200lbs needed. Was going to get the 2000 lb manual winch. Still waiting to see what comes up. I don't mind dunking the trailer and floating her on, as a matter of fact I could probably do without a winch period.
