Re: Winch needed to pull trailer up the boat house from water
thanks jeeperman. That was the kind of site I was exactly looking for. Will surf through it today.
I did get some marine 3/4" wood 2x8 feet (they come in 4x8's here). 2 each for the rear tires and 2 for front tire. We took it down last saturday and yes we were able to pull it up to the boat house much faster but still required the same amount of people (20 or so) to do the job. But at least the tires weren't getting stuck in the sand. I think I might not need ATV tires. The 2x8's probably will do a better job than atv tires.
landing mat strips ??? what exactly do they look like and what are they made of ? pics? link ?
No can do an a vehicle to the back of the boat house. There is another boathouse behind my boathouse. I will try to get pics for everyone to see.
It is seldom done now because of how many people we need to pull it up. If I get the winch with the proper set up to make it easier to go up and down then it wouldn't be seldom that's for sure.
So maybe 2ton capacity would do the job for the boat pictured above with it on trailer ? what do you think guys ?
