window starts out small

When I open Internet explorer, the window is small and I have to enlarge it by clicking the center box on the upper right corner. I’m sure there is a setting to keep it large but I can’t find it.<br />I’m using XP..<br /><br />Thanks

"reduce" the window again (center box). should show a single box.<br /><br />then move the cursor to the edges of the window until so your cursor switches to a two sided arrow.<br /><br />left click (and hold) and drag each side out to the screen edge.<br /><br />bingo<br /><br />close (X) and re-open.. it should open a full window.

I know it's not the answer you're Looking For,+ I'm Not a 'Puter Geek, by a Long Shot........<br /><br />But,.... What I've done for the Same reasons is;<br />I used the cursor to slide the edges of the Small windows out to Full Screen...........<br />Draw-back is,... Both Minimized,+ Maximized are the Same........<br /><br />I do the same thing to See Exactly how My posts will look........<br />Click on Preview Post, <br />Then slide the side of the little window to a point on My Toolbar that I Know coinsides with the Final Posting Size on iboats........<br />In My mind, I can build Easier to read posts,..... <br />Knowing where the paragraphs,+ sentences end,+ where the Smileies fit..........

As Barlow says, drag the window open full size. Then while you hold down the control key, close the window from within the 'file' drop down box.

Don't feel stupid Jeepster, just feel uninformed. Although there are a few immortals out there us mortal men could not possibly know/learn all the variations, combinations and permutations of these 'puter critters. Just feel fortunate there is an iboats NBTT forum.

Often, despite your best efforts, things don't always work the way you want them too.<br />Try this:<br />Right click on the Internet Explorer icon (any program icon, really)<br />Click on Properties<br />In the 'Run" box, pull down the menu selection and change 'Normal Window to "Maximized"<br />Click Apply.....

thanks all<br />the reason I felt stupid is I knew the fix while I reading it. it had just been to long sence I did it.<br />over 50 and losing more than my hair
