So every year just before Christmas the legion has "The Big Meat Draw"
Hams and turkeys, $1 per ticket.
So after two pitchers of beer, $20 bucks worth of tickets and two draws with nothing gained the wife comes in from her shopping trip plunks down $10 bucks/ten tickets, and we are up one turkey.

Now you say why your are happy and mad, well it goes a little like this.
"Thanksgiving supper" is not even over yet and the wife wants to break in her "NEW" food saver, so she bucks up the whole turkey, bags it, machine sucks out the air and seals it and she puts it in the dang freezer before I even finnished eating.
So you are supposed to "ENJOY" your turkey for at least a week, you know, leftovers, sandwiches, soup ETC, get rid of it so you can start fresh next holiday!!!
So now we have 3/4 or better of a cooked 12 pound turkey in the freezer, all the dressing and gravy is gone.
So I guess I am now of to find a "HAM" for christmas dinner.
Anyone want to trade a turkey for a ham???
I guess this counts as part three of my nine part sunday rant series
