This is for my outboard, but more so any small engine that is stored over the winter.

Before anyone flies off the handle.. I really don't want to buy "Fogging oil"
I'm not a fan of Unitaskers. If it can only be used for one use then it should stay on a store shelf.
Now with that over.

What would be your best alternative to Fogging oil?
Marvel Mystery Oil, WD-40, Liquid Wrench or any other penetrating oil, or simply a heavy 2 cycle oil mixed with gas?

WD 40 is 90 % parafin and 10% SAE 10 oil ...a bit thin maybe..personally I would just use some TCW3 the main thing being to work int into the rings..I think you worry too much ..think of all the engines that have sat for 20-30 years ...and someone just starts them up .....Make sure you have no water in the gearbox ..take out the lower plug and see you get oil not water out ..Top it up .

Re: Winterazation and fogging..

Yeah my outboard is old. But I have some brand new 2 & 4 cycle equipment that I have bought this year that need to be put away for the winter.

Just testing the waters here. If I did do some winterazations, on my engines, i hate to buy a product that will just sit there till next year.

Seafoam, pour the rest in the gas to stabilize it for winter, or Seafoam in a spray can (the new version of DeepCreep)

Or use slightly diluted tcw3.

if you dilute the TCW3 and can get it into one of those spray bottles then you could be sure its all over the cylinder walls ...that is if the cylinders are horisontal...
