Just covered my boat for the winter. This is the first time I've had to store it outside. I have it under a carport, but the lower unit sticks out from under the roof and is uncovered. Its an inboard. Do I need to cover the unit with plastic to keep water from getting in and freezing. I don't even know if this is possible, but I hate to do ignore it and maybe wind up with some damage. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Re: winterization

The best advice is to remove outdrive and service it for the off season. If you are going to leave it on then I would recommend covering it with shrinkwrap or similar so no little mice take a hike where they are not wanted.Charlie
