Going to do the dirty winterization deed after Canadian Thanksgiving. Hopefully I won't have freezing rain or wet snow running down my neck during the operation. It's happened before.
As for protection against colder temps, come Oct 1st I stop tilting the engine when leaving the boat at the dock. Doesn't matter if the odd night hits 0 (er...sorry...32
) when she's vertical. It's hovering around 4 deg C nighttimes at the lake this time of year.
Winter is long for me as the boat is 300 km away in a shed. I sure wish I could just go out to the garage, climb in and make putt putt noises with the rest of you home storage types!
As stated above though, there are plenty of projects around the house that have languished all summer due to being on the lake. Yeah, clean out the garage and fix the central vac....whooopeee......
