Hello,
Could someone help me? I am wondering where you add the fogging treatment to a Mercury 150hp fuel injected 2011 outboard? It was suggested to spray it in the air filter intake.

What I do is I take off the spark plugs spray the fogging treatment in each spark plug hole, then turn it on and immediately spray it into the air intake heavily so it stalls. Once it stalls the job is done. At least that is how I have done it for years..

Hi. I’d avoid spraying anything down the intake at all. Modern fuel injected engines just don’t like it. Plays havoc with the sensors.
I run a 2 stroke mix through my modern 4 stroke outboard and Mercruiser mpi both. In fact it certainly suggests as much in the Mercruiser manual, need to check the outboard, but likely it doesn’t recommend fogging by this means you ask about.
