winterizing and raw water pump

Seeing this is the lowest point in the water system, nobody seems to address this area as far as draining. What is the proper procedure?

I have the bow of the boat sitting as low as I can crank down jack stand and then I lower my drive to the point where the skeg is an inch or two above my concrete floor during storage. When i set the drive down the water poured back out, so I think I'm safe.
