I have a 08 Crestliner Superhawk with a 4.3 190 horse Mercruiser I/O. I have drained water from the engine block, changed the oil, and filled my gas tank and added stabilizer, is there anything else I should do? The dealership wants to charge about $200 for winterizing, so I was just trying to save some $$.

What about the manifolds? You drain them also?

This a carbed motor?

Must be 190 hp.

Leave the bow as high as you can get it with the transom plug out.

Leave the drive down, you could put some flat wood under the tires if you can't get the bow high with the drive down.

You changed the motor oil, out drive oil also?

Didi you run the motor to ensure the stabilizer gets into the carb? If not run it on the muffs for a few minutes and then spray some fogging oil into the carb. Get some real good smoke going. Now turn off the motor and drain the block and manifolds. Dump som antifreeze into each manifold hose until you see it come out the drain. Now plug the drain and fill the manny. Repeat with each block drain by dumping AF into large hose on water pump. Now fill the block with AF. Dump some AF down raw water hose until you see it emerge from water intake on outdrive. Reinstall all hoses, change the gear oil, hit the grease fittings. If that is a gen I Alpha OD, you need to pull the drive and grease the U joints and gimbal bearingShift must be in forward to remove outdrive.

08' got to be a gen 2.

There is a sticky on the top did you see it?

Don s wrote it, got to be "right".

After all is said and done pull the battery, and recharge it midway thru the winter.

I leave mine in the garage, never gets below 45-50 in there.
